Senior Security Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Security Analyst for a Contract with a client in New York, NY(Remote). Candidates must support enterprise security governance by ensuring compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and HITRUST frameworks while driving proactive risk mitigation efforts.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Security Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Builds and maintains a comprehensive risk register with treatment plans for mitigation, transfer, acceptance, or avoidance.

• Ensures alignment with NIST SP 800‑53 Rev 5, HITRUST CSF, HIPAA, and NIST Privacy Framework requirements.

• Maps identified risks and mitigation activities to HITRUST CSF control domains to support future certification.

• Develops documentation, dashboards, and executive summaries to communicate security posture and risk insights.

• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to validate findings and strengthen overall security governance.

• Supports proactive risk mitigation by assessing controls, analysing gaps, and recommending remediation actions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related technical field.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in security risk management and compliance.

• Candidate must possess strong knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST CSF, and NIST frameworks for conducting risk assessments and compliance alignment.

• Candidate must have the capability to build and manage risk registers while delivering documentation and dashboards supporting security governance efforts.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
