Marvin's Camp Counselor
Marvin’s is a division of campers ages 6 – 21 with Special Needs. The main object of a camp counselor is to ensure the safety, well-being and over all camp experience of your campers is held to the highest standard. ABOUT YOU
As a counselor, you would be working in a group of campers (number varies) alongside 1 to 2 additional counselors. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Supervise the group
- Organize and facilitate activities
- Encourage camper involvement
- Identify and respond to camper behavioral issues and needs
- Safeguard campers well-being
- Attend training and orientation prior to the start of camp
- Keep open communication between staff and Director
- Communicate with co-counselor to manage the group
- 16 years of age or older
- Experience working with children/at a camp
- Experience with the Special Needs population (not required but preferred)
- Updated medical form
- Ability to communicate, organize, facilitate and carry out daily routines
- Fun, energetic and eager to participate
Job Type: Seasonal SALARY:
Pay: $40.00 - $92.00 per day
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Staten Island, NY 10314: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
