As a **Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver** in **Syracuse, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a vibrant retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for all visitors. **What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the retail or mall location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
+ Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding observations and activities as needed.
+ Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with company and site protocols.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
+ A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
