• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Position Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours/week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2080
• Charting System: Epic (Epic experience required)
• Scrub Colors: Navy and white combinations

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse license (required at submission)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficient in Epic electronic medical records
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Ability to float to similar units (ED boarders, ICU – stable, Med/Surg, acute brain injury – stable patients)
• Travel nursing candidates only; not accepting local applicants within 75 miles

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, pulmonary, pain, GI, infection, and diabetes diagnoses
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response activations
• Perform peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen therapy (nasal cannula, face masks, portable tanks)
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols for infection control
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including patient care technicians, phlebotomy, and respiratory therapy
• Float to other nursing units as needed to support facility operations
• Accurately document patient care in Epic EMR
