Social Worker (LMSW)
Responsibilities - Collaborate with the SNUG team to support high-risk individuals affected by community violence.
- Provide therapeutic services to victims of community violence and their families, offering both short and long-term support.
- Facilitate debriefing and processing of traumatic incidents with SNUG staff, offering guidance and training.
- Develop and implement onsite programming, including support groups for staff, participants, and families of homicide victims.
- Supervise a site-based case manager to deliver comprehensive case management services.
- Respond to violent incidents, participate in outreach events, and conduct home visits as needed.
- Build relationships with hospitals and crime victim service providers to ensure awareness and utilization of SNUG services.
- Participate in ongoing trauma training and weekly clinical supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to VOCA reporting standards.
- Travel for training and conferences, including an initial week-long training and biannual conference in Albany.
- Provide emergency support to the SNUG team during critical incidents.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or a related field from an accredited university.
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) REQUIRED .
- 2+ years of experience working in or near SNUG target areas.
