Grants Associate
Our client is looking to fill the role of Grants Associate. The Grants Associate supports the Grant Development team in maintaining, diversifying, and pursuing funding resources, including foundation and government grants. This role is responsible for researching and identifying new funding opportunities; drafting compelling proposals, reports, and program overviews in collaboration with senior grants staff to help secure and sustain funding for programs. The Grants Associate also maintains grant calendars, tracks reporting requirements and submission deadlines. This position reports to the Senior Director of Grants and Resource Development, works closely with the Director of Government Grants, and collaborates with members of the grants team, development team, finance department, and program departments as needed.
- Compensation: $60,000 - $68,000 per year.
- (40 hours per week), 9-6 M-Th and 9-3 on Fridays.
- Assist with drafting and proofing well-written letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and funding applications, in conjunction with the grants team, with strict adherence to content requirements and deadlines.
- Research and identify potential government, foundation, and other grant opportunities aligned with mission, programs, and goals, and summarize for review and decision-making by senior grants staff.
- Monitor government and foundation websites regularly for any upcoming RFP/RFQ/RFA releases, guidelines, etc. and summarize recently released RFPs with all relevant details necessary to support internal assessment of eligibility and fit.
- Create basic visuals (charts, tables, infographics) to enhance written proposals, reports, and other communications.
- Gather pertinent information from program, finance, data, and other relevant staff for grant applications, reports, and program overviews.
- Liaise with government agencies and foundation professionals as appropriate and under the guidance of senior grants staff.
- Maintain and update account and opportunity records in our data management system
- (Salesforce).

- Skill and Education:
- • Bachelor’s degree (required).
- • 2-3 years’ experience in grants, development, or nonprofit fundraising.
- • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and data visualization
- and analytical tools.
- Hybrid schedule is 3 days in office, 2 days at home.
