ACCOUNTANT – MANUFACTURING
Location: Croton-on-Hudson, NY
Compensation: $90,000+ (Depending on Experience)

Seeking a highly detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage the complete accounting cycle for a stable, long-established manufacturing organization. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role supporting the Controller , who reports to the CFO . The position is the third role within the finance department and operates independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role requires strong knowledge of GAAP, hands-on payroll experience, and experience working within an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Epicor experience is preferred, though candidates with comparable ERP backgrounds will be considered.
Manufacturing experience is preferred; however, candidates from other industries with strong full-cycle accounting experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for the manufacturing operation
• Process payroll using ADP and ensure payroll compliance
• Maintain the general ledger and perform journal entries
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow activities
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
• Track fixed assets and maintain depreciation schedules
• File sales tax returns and support regulatory reporting requirements
• Support financial, ISO, and workers’ compensation audits
• Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and internal controls
• Provide operational and reporting support to the Controller

• 5+ years of accounting experience or Full-Charge Bookkeeper experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong hands-on experience with ADP payroll processing
• ERP experience required; Epicor strongly preferred
  (Comparable systems considered, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, Infor, Sage, Acumatica, IFS Cloud, or Plex)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and the full accounting cycle
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience working in a union environment (helpful but not required)
