Chef de Cuisine
A respected, established fine-dining restaurant in Saratoga County, New York is seeking an accomplished Executive Chef with a proven ability to write, develop, and execute highly refined seasonal menus with consistency, precision, and intention.
The RoleConceptualize, write, and execute seasonal menus with a high level of refinement and technical execution
Translate ingredients into cohesive dishes with strong narrative, balance, and restraint
Maintain exacting standards for plating, seasoning, timing, and consistency across every service
Lead all culinary operations with a disciplined, hands-on approach
Build, train, and mentor a focused, professional kitchen team
Oversee sourcing, ordering, inventory, and cost control without compromising quality
Collaborate closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless communication, pacing, and service flow
Supervise kitchen scheduling and labor management to ensure efficiency and proper coverage
Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations
Lead by example during service, demonstrating exceptional technique, leadership, and attention to detail
Continuously evaluate and improve kitchen systems, execution, and overall performance
Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Senior Sous from a high-standard, chef-driven kitchen
Demonstrated success executing precise, seasonally driven menus in demanding service environments
Strong technical foundation with exceptional attention to detail
Calm, structured leadership style with a commitment to excellence
Comfortable taking long-term ownership of a menu and kitchen operation
Experience with menu development, food cost control, and labor management
Open to relocation or commuting within Saratoga County / Upstate New York
Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
