Position Summary:

Reaves Dental Practice, a successful and established dental office in New Hartford, NY, is seeking a talented and driven Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. As part of our highly trained dental hygiene team, you will contribute to providing exceptional patient care using state-of-the-art digital technology and top-of-the-line equipment. We pride ourselves on being one of the best dental practices in Central New York and are looking for a special individual to join us in our commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including scaling, root planning, and polishing.
• Evaluate patients' oral health and document conditions and treatment plans.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care.
• Take dental radiographs as needed.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care and maintain accurate patient records.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
• Contribute to practice growth by providing a positive patient experience and promoting dental services.

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Registered Dental Hygienist license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental practice preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene principles and practices, as well as infection control procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help others.
• Goal-oriented and committed to personal and professional growth.
