Title: Workday Finance Manager (Contract)

Location: New York, NY (Onsite/Hybrid)

Duration: 8 months (Mid-September start)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Finance Manager for a Large Public Accounting Firm's end client. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining continuity for the Workday Finance (FINS) modules, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting the team through this period of transition.

The ideal candidate is a STAR performer -someone who can step into a high-visibility role, adapt quickly, and balance both strategic support and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Ownership: Lead coverage for Workday Finance (FINS) modules (not HCM).

System Support: Collaborate with the existing team to support multiple integrated systems.

Knowledge Transfer: Participate in KT sessions prior to the resource's leave to ensure a smooth handover.

Continuity: Provide consistent oversight and execution during staggered leave coverage.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a reliable partner for business leaders, providing timely updates and solutions.

Execution & Strategy: Manage both day-to-day operational tasks and broader strategic initiatives within Workday Finance.

Qualifications

4+years exp - Workday Financial Module Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience with Workday Finance (FINS) modules .

Adaptability: Ability to step into a complex environment and quickly ramp up.

Collaboration: Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful, capable of resolving issues independently.

Leadership Presence: Comfort in a high-visibility role with executive-level exposure.

Willing to go onsite in New York (Manhattan)

Must have: Overall 12 years of professional IT experience with 9+ years of extensive Workday.

Certified in Workday Contract to Cash.

Expertise in configuration and production support of Workday Financial including Financial Accounting, Customers, Project Billing, Capital Projects, Supplier, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Expense, Banking & Settlement.

Expertise in configuration for Workday Modules including HCM, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Recruiting, Absence Management, and Performance Management.

Expertise in End to End Implementation including Data Conversion, Configuration, Security Administration, and Reporting.

Expertise in creating Workday Financial Reporting

Expertise in Design and Development of Financial Integrations

Expertise in Design and Development of EIB, Core Connector, and Studio Integrations within the HCM and Financial modules.

Good understanding of Integrations including Web Services, SaaS, Workday Architecture, Business Process Framework.
