Pet Vet Is Hiring: Full-Time Veterinary Technicians & Assistants

Are you passionate about animals and ready to make a real difference in their lives? Pet Vet is looking for dedicated, full-time Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our team! You'll be caring for dogs, cats, exotics, and even wildlife — supporting our veterinarians and providing comfort and top-quality care to every patient.

In this role, you’ll also be a key point of contact with pet parents, so strong communication skills are a must.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Taking temperatures and weighing animals
• Discussing vaccines, medications, lab work, and care recommendations with clients
• Educating clients on preventatives, prescription diets, rebates, and medication types
• Cleaning and resetting exam rooms and tables
• Restraining animals during exams and procedures
• Obtaining accurate patient histories
• Calming and handling frightened or injured animals (including exotics and wildlife)
• Administering and preparing medications and vaccinations
• Assisting during emergencies
• Maintaining medical records and logs
• Supporting pet owners with clear, compassionate communication
• Performing general hospital cleaning and laundry tasks
• Replenishing and rotating stock

Skills & Qualifications:

For Licensed Veterinary Technicians:

• Experience with anesthesia, radiology, lab work, blood draws, and restraint
• A commitment to the highest standards of medical and surgical care

For Veterinary Assistants:

• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care role is a plus
• Former or current pet ownership is a bonus
• Strong multitasking and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and remain calm under pressure
• Comfortable with cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and more
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally assist in emergency situations
• High school diploma required; veterinary assistant certification is a plus
