Requirements

We are seeking a Senior Denodo Developer to join our data integration and virtualization team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and developing virtual data layers using the Denodo Platform. You will be responsible for building scalable, performant, and secure virtualized data services and APIs that integrate data from multiple heterogeneous sources (SQL, NoSQL, cloud, APIs, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy Denodo data virtualization solutions to connect and abstract data from diverse sources.
  

• Create logical data models, derived views, and REST/SOAP APIs using Denodo VDP .
  

• Develop and manage data services (REST, JDBC, ODBC, GraphQL, etc.) through Denodo for consumption by reporting and application layers.
  

• Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and application teams to understand data requirements and design optimal data services.
  

• Optimize performance of virtual data layers through caching , query optimization , load balancing , and metadata management .
  

• Ensure data quality, governance, and security by applying role-based access controls , masking , and auditing .
  

• Monitor and support Denodo environments (development, testing, and production) using Denodo Diagnostic & Monitoring Tools .
  

• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and data flow processes.
  

• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in data integration , BI , or data engineering , with at least 3+ years hands-on with Denodo Platform .
  

• Strong knowledge of data virtualization concepts , logical data modeling , and semantic layers .
  

• Expertise in SQL , complex joins , and performance tuning across heterogeneous systems.
  

• Experience building data services (REST, JDBC, ODBC, SOAP) and working with JSON/XML data formats .
  

• Knowledge of Denodo caching strategies , row-level security , and data lineage features .
  

• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  

• Familiarity with data governance , metadata cataloging , and security controls in data platforms.
  

• Proficient in using version control systems like Git , and working in CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
  

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau , Power BI , or Looker .
  

• Experience integrating with big data platforms (Hadoop, Hive, Spark).
  

• Scripting or automation experience using Python , Shell , or Java for integration/monitoring tasks.
  

• Knowledge of cloud-native data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
  

• Denodo certification (e.g., Denodo Platform Certified Developer ).
