Position Details: This is a three-month, 20-hour/week position. There is a possibility of an extension depending on the needs of the business.
Compensation: Anticipated compensation for this position is $16.50-18.00/hour.*

Job Summary**
The Social Media & Podcast Intern will support the execution of Leader in Me's social media presence and Change Starts Here podcast, with a focus on engaging educators, administrators, and district leaders. This role is ideal for a college student interested in B2B marketing, digital content, and media production who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization.
The intern will work closely with the Social Media & Podcast Manager to assist with content publishing, campaign support, and podcast coordination while gaining exposure to B2B audience engagement, content strategy, and end-to-end podcast production.
Essential Job Functions
Social Media Support (B2B Focus)

Assist in publishing and scheduling social media content using platforms such as Sprout Social (or similar tools)

Support the creation and maintenance of B2B-focused social media content calendars aligned with campaign priorities and audience needs (educators, administrators, district leaders)

Draft basic social media copy tailored to professional audiences for review and approval

Assist with inbox by identifying FAQs, drafting and obtaining approvals to operationalize response

Support employee advocacy efforts by preparing and distributing shareable, brand-aligned content for internal stakeholders

Assist with basic design needs using Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
Podcast Support - Change Starts Here

Assist in identifying and researching potential podcast guests aligned with brand, thought leadership, and audience priorities

Support outreach, recruitment, booking, and scheduling of podcast guests

Coordinate guest communications, including sharing recording instructions, expectations, and timelines

Help manage podcast production workflows, including organizing assets and supporting coordination with internal teams and external vendors

Assist in promoting podcast episodes across social channels to drive awareness and engagement
Reporting & Operations Support

Help track and organize basic social media and podcast performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth)

Support compilation of monthly, quarterly, or campaign reports

Assist with general project coordination across multiple marketing initiatives

Basic Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
Preferred Skills & Experience

Strong interest in B2B marketing, social media, content creation, and/or podcasting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote environment

Familiarity with major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

Basic design or video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)

Interest in education, leadership development, or storytelling
