Supplier Quality Engineer
Construction Trades Staffing is seeking a driven Supplier Quality Engineer to support a manufacturing company that does high-performance manufacturing operations in the automotive and heavy truck industry. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a candidate who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and supplier collaboration.
🔍 Responsibilities:
Evaluate supplier performance and drive quality improvements
Conduct audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5Why, and other problem-solving tools
Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues
Navigate customer portals and ERP systems (Oracle or similar)
Travel domestically and internationally (approx. 6 trips/year) to visit suppliers
🎓 Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or automotive/heavy truck environment
Strong technical problem-solving and documentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab, and ERP software
Clear communication across all organizational levels
Certification in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 preferred
