The Jacobs New York/New Jersey Water team has a unique opportunity for a motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager who can utilize their excellent technical and management skills to deliver water-related infrastructure projects. This opportunity is your chance to work hand in hand with the NY/NJ water team and work on multi-disciplined water projects.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate our strategy and business growth
- Work with a very skilled and well-established projects, winning work, and collaborating with others to strengthen our growth.
- Provide technical leadership
- Oversee all aspects of water design projects including design and construction of infrastructure projects, quality of engineering work performed, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinate activities of design engineers, technicians, and field staff
- Ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Mentor to aid in the growth of our junior staff.
- Work closely with Jacobs Client Account Managers and Operations teams in pursuit of water opportunities in the area.
- Advancing long-term existing relationships with water clients in the NY/NJ metro area at the state, city and county levels, leading the development of execution strategies, and supporting proposal and presentation preparation activities.
Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other related engineering field
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in NY
• Significant experience (20+ years) associated with the water sector
• Demonstrated track record of coordinating teams and winning work on an area or statewide basis
• High level existing contacts and strong relationships with public clients, special districts, and private clients, including but not limited to NYCDEP, NYCDDC, and PVSC.
• Experience in stakeholder relationship development and management
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in NJ or NY
• Thorough technical background/experience in delivering or managing large Water projects or programs is considered a positive and adds credibility in consulting, engineering, construction industry service offerings and delivery.
• The ability to set a vision and strategy, coach/mentor and motivate the team, reach within Jacobs to offer best-in-class solutions, manage commercial and legal negotiations, and close deals.
• Established local client relationships along with an understanding of policies and procedures of these agencies, including but not limited to NYCDEP, NYCDDC, and PVSC.

The base salary range for this position is $160,000.00 to $230,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
