We are working with a venture-backed technology company building next-generation AI and data infrastructure platforms used by enterprise organisations to solve complex operational problems.

They are hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to work directly with customers and deploy the platform into real production environments.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, product, and customer problem solving.

You will take ownership of translating complex customer challenges into working systems and production deployments.

The Role

Forward Deployed Engineers operate as mission-focused engineers embedded in real customer environments.

You will work directly with customers, product teams, and engineering leadership to design and implement technical solutions that unlock value from the platform.

The work ranges from building integrations and data pipelines to deploying AI-powered workflows and infrastructure at scale.

The role suits engineers who enjoy solving messy real-world problems rather than only building internal systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deploy and implement complex software solutions inside customer environments
• Design and build integrations with external systems, APIs, and data platforms
• Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into production-ready solutions
• Build prototypes, automation tools, and integrations to accelerate customer adoption
• Troubleshoot production systems and resolve technical issues in real time
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape the product roadmap based on real-world customer feedback
• Work across the full lifecycle of deployments from architecture design through implementation

Technology Environment

You will work across modern cloud and AI infrastructure stacks including:

• Python, Go, or TypeScript
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Containerised infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes
• Data platforms including Snowflake, BigQuery, Kafka, or Spark
• AI / ML tooling such as LLM integrations, embeddings, and vector databases
• Infrastructure tooling such as Terraform and CI/CD pipelines

We’re Looking For Engineers Who

• Have strong backend or full-stack engineering experience
• Enjoy working directly with users and customers to solve real problems
• Can move quickly from problem definition to working solution
• Are comfortable operating across architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Have experience deploying systems into production environments
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Enjoy ownership and responsibility within fast-moving environments

Compensation

• £120,000 – £160,000 base salary
• Equity participation
• Performance bonus
