Captain

We are a busy, hospitality-driven restaurant looking for a Floor Captain to lead service each night with confidence, warmth, and professionalism.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in the craft of hospitality and is looking to grow within a serious, team-oriented environment.

The Floor Captain serves as the host and leader of the dining room , setting the tone for both guests and staff. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth, seamless service while maintaining a strong, positive team dynamic throughout the shift.

You are not expected to play the “bad cop”—our management team handles formal discipline—but you will be the eyes and ears on the floor , helping keep the team accountable, organized, and operating at a high level.

• Lead the dining room service each shift with professionalism and presence
• Act as the primary host, managing the flow of reservations and guest experience
• Maintain constant awareness of the floor and anticipate service needs
• Support and guide servers, runners, and support staff to ensure smooth execution
• Ensure team members are punctual, prepared, and performing to standard
• Communicate clearly with management, providing feedback on team performance and service flow
• Uphold the restaurant’s standards of hospitality, timing, and attention to detail

• A reliable and responsible leader who leads by example
• Strong understanding of restaurant service and floor operations
• Natural ability to read a room and manage both guests and team dynamics
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
