Power-Flo Technologies is seeking a Field Mechanic to join the team at our Buffalo Pump and Motor Repair shop.

Field Mechanic Primary Functions

At the direction of the Shop Foreman - mechanics are responsible for the proper disassembly and evaluation of a motor including troubleshooting. Mechanics are also responsible for the assembly, quality control and testing processes involved in motor repair. Field Service positions available to properly qualified individuals.

Field Mechanic Essential Responsibilities

• Disassemble mechanical ac & dc motors, gear units and pumps.
• Assemble mechanical ac & dc motors, gear units and pumps.
• Diagnose problems and failures of incoming units to ensure the customer’s complaint is resolved.
• Interpret and apply dimensional measurements
• Measure and record electrical data, mechanical fits and clearances.
• Recording all necessary materials in order to complete the repair
• Follow all necessary instructions in order to complete the repair
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area at all times
• Organize and maintain shop tools and equipment
• Organize and maintain personal tools and equipment
• Willing and able to work OT as required.

Field Mechanic Necessary Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Basic knowledge regarding use of a pc
• Competent with the use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter, shop tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, hoists, etc…
• Mechanical aptitude required
• A valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to Stand for 8 Hours
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work on elevated platforms
• Ability to climb ladders

Salary Range: Between $17 - $32/hour depending on experience
