Women4Women is a nonprofit organization based in Brooklyn dedicated to empowering women who have experienced domestic violence (“Thrivers”) to achieve financial independence. Created in 2021, Women4Women helps women break free from the cycle of abuse and build better, more self-sufficient futures through a comprehensive set of services (healing and wellness, mentorship, financial literacy, career development, housing and social services, as well as access to legal services and emergency assistance).
Clinical Supervisor Position Overview
Women4Women is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide clinical supervision to the Organization’s Social Worker. We are looking for a Clinical Supervisor with a strong interest in women’s rights and domestic violence. As the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide clinical advice and supervision to the Organization’s Social Worker to maximize positive impact on Thrivers.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about women’s empowerment, committed to promoting diversity in leadership, and interested in contributing to the growth and sustainability of a young and growing nonprofit with a meaningful mission.
Time commitment & Hourly rate
Commitment is 5 hours/month, distributed in the following way:
- 3 hours for bi-montly meeting to provide direct clinical supervision of Social Worker
- Up to 2 hours for supporting work (research, best practices, introductions, follow up advice)
The Clinical Supervisor is expected to provide advice in a professional and respectful manner.
Hourly rate: $60/hour, to be added in an invoice and paid monthly via Zelle or bank transfer.
NOTE: This is NOT an employment position. Rather this is an independent contractor relationship. This will not create an employer-employee relationship and no benefits are offered with this position at this time.
Objectives for Women4Women
Our objective is simple: We wish to provide social services to women who have experienced domestic violence to help them achieve independence.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical supervision on all pertinent social work aspects, including:
- Best practices to support mental health
- Assessment and support around client’s diagnosis
- Programmatic support and evaluation
- Bi-monthly case reviews
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s in Social Work with staff supervision experience
- in the nonprofit sector and/or in a related organization working with women’s rights or domestic violence.
- Knowledge and experience in providing trauma-informed care when working with individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
