Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Augusta Hoffman Studio is seeking a motivated, skilled and detail-oriented interior architectural drafter to join our team. This team member’s primary role will be creating drawings, models and schedules and they will also be involved in the project management and logistical aspects of each project.

Responsibilities

Drafting:

• Develop 2D floor plans, elevations and full drawing sets through AutoCAD and 3D models through SketchUp or rhino
• Experience developing and executing custom FF&E drawings and seeing products through to completion
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at a time
• Ability to complete tasks by deadline and to prioritize projects accordingly

Project Management

• Prepare visually pleasing client presentations and proposals
• Create project installation schedules: plumbing, lighting, paint, hardware, etc.
• Issue drawings and coordinate with General Contractors
• Issue detailed meeting minutes from onsite walkthroughs and client meetings
• Request and receive estimates and quotes from design showrooms, workrooms, and vendors
• Assist in creating orders, tracking documents and installation schedules
• Provide support on projects from concept through installation
• Assist on-site with installations

• Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from designers and the Principal
• Work closely with designers and other team members to ensure coordinated design effort is maintained
• Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Strong writing and communication skills essential
• Highly dependable, responsible, and ethical
• Impeccable etiquette, poised and polished with a professional mindset
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and business contacts in a highly professional manner
• Detail oriented and extremely organized
• Ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Confident, proactive, able to anticipate the next steps forward
• A problem-solver and “do-er”; no task is too small
• Proven ability to see a task through to the end
• Ability to work and cooperate in a team environment, but also capable of working independently

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years professional experience working in Interior Architectural drafting
• Expert in AutoCAD
• Skilled in SketchUp, Rhino, Photoshop, Google applications, Adobe Suite
• Ability to work in person in New York City
