Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM), 3x12-Hour

Job Description

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a travel contract assignment in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in emergency nursing, prior travel experience, and the ability to manage critically ill patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Emergency Department
• Manage high-acuity cases including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, and emergency interventions
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocol
• Float between units as required
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR (required)
• Support charge nurse responsibilities when needed (preferred)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC certification required (must be in hand)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience caring for adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations
• Strong clinical judgment in high-pressure emergency settings

Additional Requirements

• Must provide verified documentation including license and Nursys report
• Must have matching demographic and identification documentation
• Must include all requested time-off (RTO) at submission
• Must be willing to float within hospital units
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at adjusted local rate
