Job Purpose:
To provide a professional, Human Resources consultancy service that enhances the performance of the business adding clear, measurable value.
This incorporates providing both a full range of operational Human Resources support as well as strategic advice to client group partners on people related issues, and identifying and developing solutions in partnership that help them achieve their departmental, and the wider business, objectives.
In addition, the role holder will also work closely with the VP HR North America & USA on specific projects linked to the HR Action Plan.
The Air France KLM Human Resources Department supports Air France-KLM USA employees and managers across three business divisions (Passenger, Cargo, and Engineering and Maintenance).
Key Result Areas:
Sourcing
· Work with client group managers to anticipate present and future people and skill needs in line with agreed budget and business strategy.
· Responsible for all attraction, recruitment and selection.
· Define role requirements and person specifications with client group partners, organize job advertisements, arrange suitable selection methods, prepare and offer roles and follow starters and leavers processes.
· Supports management in succession planning.
· Manage the mobility and relocation process for local transfers.
Employee Relations
· Advise client group partners on appropriate and consistent use of Company policies and procedures and local labor law
· Assist managers in creating a culture of respect and trust.
· Work on an ad hoc basis with other members of the Air France and KLM USA Human Resources teams on developing or amending policies and procedures for USA employees.
· Support line managers in the case of re-organizations.
· Conduct fair and thorough investigations when complaints arise.
· Conduct exit interviews.
Performance Management
· Promote effective use of the appraisal system by managers to evaluate KPIs, targets, competencies, development needs, and career aspirations
· Advise client group partners on performance issues in line with current legislation and Air France KLM USA policies.
Organisational Design and Change
· Advise client group partners in restructuring and re-design projects including suitable communications' strategies.
· Ensure all s are kept up to date and co-ordinate the Job Evaluation process.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)
· Partner with HR team members and management teams to integrate DE&I principles into talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
· Monitor and analyze DE&I metrics and data to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement
· Research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster the organizations diversity goals.
· Review current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder the company's diversity goals
· Develop and/or acquire training and development to aid diversity initiatives.
· Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
Payroll and Benefits
· Act as the first point of contact for Payroll, HRIS, and Benefits queries. Where relevant involve the Payroll & HRIS and Benefits Managers in communicating information to their client group.
· Conduct compensation analysis for client groups. Proposes changes in order to ensure competitive compensation and benefit packages.
· Recommend appropriate salary related to annual increases, promotions, and mobilities.
Learning and Development
· Solicit feedback from client groups to determine soft skill training needs in line with the performance review process and one on one reviews.
· Assist line manager(s) in designing and sourcing solutions (internal and external) to needs identified.
· Facilitate team development sessions where appropriate.
· Produce information for succession planning process to client group partners and assist in career conversations where required.
Employee Engagement & HR Metrics
· Analyze and share feedback on results with client groups from Employee Opinion Surveys. Work in partnership with line managers to implement agreed team action plans to improve employee engagement levels.
· Assist the VP HR in developing and implementing the overall USA HR Action Plan.
Other Responsibilities
· Participate in the local emergency response plan as needed
· Serve as backup to HR Coordinator and/or Business Partner when needed
Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelors' Degree in HR preferred
- (S)PHR qualification preferred
- Advanced understanding of employee relations, selection and resourcing, learning and development
- Advanced US employment law knowledge
- Understanding of change management and organizational design principles
- Intermediate Benefits (pension, 401K, medical) knowledge
- Intermediate Health and Safety knowledge
- Familiar with Hay or job evaluation methodology
- Intermediate HR Information System knowledge, including ADP
- Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, and versed in AI
