Product Design Lead

We are seeking a Product Designer to serve as the architectural voice for our user experience and the creative force behind our product’s visual identity. This role involves building the design discipline, establishing scalable processes, and creating a robust design system that will serve as the foundation for our product. You will directly influence our success and the success of the non-profits and conscious brands we serve. We are looking for a seasoned product designer who thrives on ownership and ambiguity, is passionate about user-centered interfaces, and is a strategic partner to Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for key product initiatives, including discovery, user research, wireframing, high-fidelity mockups, prototyping, and detailed hand-off to engineers
• Create, document, and maintain a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency, speed up development, and scale with the product and team
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights, validate concepts, and ensure the product solves real-world problems for users in the social impact space
• Collaborate closely with Product, CTO, CEO, and Engineering leads to define the product roadmap, contribute to product strategy, and advocate for the user experience
• Establish design best practices, tools, and workflows within the product team, setting the standard for quality and efficiency
• Take ownership of the public-facing website, maintaining, updating, and designing new pages to support marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives
• Provide guidance and creative direction to a junior integrations designer, ensuring quality and consistency of work on embedded components and integration touchpoints
• Maintain and evolve the brand identity, ensuring visual and experiential consistency across all product and marketing touchpoints
• Create compelling marketing assets, including sales decks, email templates, case studies, social media content, and other marketing materials

You’re a great fit if you:

• Have 5+ years of experience in product design with a focus on UI/UX for web and mobile applications
• Have a proven track record designing for SaaS products, ideally in fast-paced or high-growth environments
• Have a portfolio showcasing elegant, data-driven solutions to complex design challenges
• Are proficient with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and have expertise across responsive web and mobile
• Have a deep understanding of technical constraints and opportunities, enabling close collaboration with engineers
• Have hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems and pattern libraries
• Possess a strong analytical mindset and experience using sales, product, or client data to inform design decisions
• Have experience leading end-to-end design for products or major feature initiatives
• Have expert knowledge of UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles
• Have proven experience in creating and maintaining a design system from the ground up, with a deep understanding of component-based design, tokens, and documentation
• Have proven ability to manage and mentor junior design talent, providing constructive feedback and elevating the team’s overall output
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences

• Have previous experience in the e-commerce or Martech sectors
• Have experience working in a Series A/B/C startup environment
• Have experience working within multi-product ecosystems
• Are familiar with ecommerce and AB testing
• Are familiar with the Shopify ecosystem
• Are familiar with accessibility design
• Have experience building decks for executive stakeholders
• Have hands-on experience maintaining a marketing website, preferably built on Framer or a similar tool like Webflow
