IE New York College (IENYC) is the U.S. university of a global higher education institution with a strong international presence. The College is in a phase of consolidation and growth following a change of control and is strengthening its financial function to support institutional maturity, regulatory compliance, and long-term scalability.
The strategic objective is to scale from a small initial student body to a fully consolidated operation with significant growth in enrollment and revenue over the coming years, while maintaining strong governance and institutional controls.
Role Overview
The Senior Manager will lead the financial function of IENYC, with responsibility for financial planning, treasury, accounting oversight, and financial governance. This role is designed as a senior, trusted counterpart to institutional leadership and IE’s central finance team, ensuring strong financial discipline while supporting the operational needs of the College.
The position focuses on financial leadership, oversight, and coordination , and plays a key role in ensuring continuity, risk management, and scalability during a critical growth phase.
Reporting line : Managing Director, IENYC (with functional coordination with IE University Finance – Spain)
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes incoordination with institutional leadership.
- Monitor budget performance, cost control, and financial sustainability.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Preparefinancial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee financial reporting for internal stakeholders,Board of Trustees, and regulators (including NYSED).
- Prepare and oversee cash flow reporting and CAPEX monitoring.
Treasury & Accounting Oversight
- Oversee cash management and liquidity planning.
- Manage and maintain banking relationships.
- Supervise monthly close processes performed by the local team andexternal providers.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and nonprofit regulations while maintaining consistency with IE-wide accounting policies.
- Lead U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filing of all required returns in coordination with external tax advisors.
- Guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
- Oversee financial compliance in line with U.S. nonprofit and regulatoryrequirements.
- Coordinate external audits and act as the institutional interlocutor with auditors and advisors.
- Lead coordination with external tax advisors (including EY) in alignment with IE-wide financial processes.
- Define and maintain financial policies, control frameworks, and governance standards, ensuring alignment with IE institutionalpractices.
Collaboration & Institutional Alignment
- Work in close coordination with IE’s central Financeteam in Madrid, ensuring consistency with group-level financial policies, controls, and reporting standards.
- Supportinstitutional decision-making with disciplined financial analysis.
Qualifications & Profile
- Bachelor’sdegree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 4-7 years in audit/compliance or accounting (Big 4 experiencepreferred).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit financial regulations preferred.
- ERPexperience (Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar) preferred; advanced Excel required.
- Experience working in matrixed orinternational organizations with centralized financial governance.
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic andoperational oversight levels.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive financial information.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative working style.

Salary Range & Benefits Package:
- Annual Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (Based on experience)
- Additional discretionary bonus based on performance metrics.
