Senior Product Manager
Artsy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of 'Emerald', our lower-funnel initiative focused on checkout, shipping, and the post-purchase experience. This area presents a significant opportunity to create best-in-class experiences that drive customer retention, satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will help shape the future of our marketplace, creating an exceptional experience that drives buyers and galleries to transact through Artsy. You’ll build scalable, adaptable systems and craft innovative solutions in areas where standard market offerings fall short—redefining logistics, checkout, and post-purchase experiences to meet the highest standards of luxury commerce.
The solutions you design will also lay the foundation for new forms of selling, unlocking significant growth for the marketplace. This role is ideal for a highly exploratory, user-centric, and forward-thinking product leader who thrives at the intersection of commerce, logistics, and customer experience.
This is a full time hybrid role, with in office attendance required 2-3 days a week. This role is based in our NYC office.
What You’ll Do at Artsy:
Product Strategy & Execution
Lead product strategy for checkout, fulfillment, and post-purchase flows, ensuring a seamless, luxurious, and reliable experience for buyers and galleries.
Build flexible, scalable systems that can evolve to support increasingly complex transaction models, including international and multi-currency flows.
Collaborate across design, engineering, and operations to unlock improved, reimagined experiences in checkout, payments, shipping, and fulfillment.
User-Centric Thinking
Center all decisions on the user: anticipate buyer and seller needs across bottom of funnel experiences.
Use predictive insights to anticipate friction points, optimize transaction paths, and drive engagement and loyalty.
Iterate rapidly using data, research, and experimentation to validate assumptions and deliver measurable outcomes.
AI and Emerging Technology Perspective
Collaborate with data and engineering teams to design, test, and iterate on AI solutions across checkout, fulfillment, and post-purchase journeys
This Role is a Fit if..
You have experience designing user-centric, high-quality transactional experiences across e-commerce, checkout, payments, or fulfillment.
You're comfortable with experimental, iterative approaches to problem-solving; you can iterate quickly in a space without established solutions, testing ideas that balance immediate needs with long-term scalability.
You have strong analytical skills and use data to drive decisions.
You have excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
You are technically fluent and are comfortable working with engineering teams on payment and fulfillment integrations.
(Plus) You have experience with marketplaces, luxury e-commerce, or complex transaction flows.
You are currently authorized to live and work in the United States.
This role will be based in New York City.
This role is unlikely to be a good match if you:
Struggle with navigating ambiguity or defining strategy in complex, cross-functional environments.
Prefer rigid processes over an iterative, experimental approach to product development.
Want to lead the entire product organization or manage other product managers in the short-term – this is a hands-on product leadership role.
What success looks like in your first 3-6 months:
First 3 months:
Build strong relationships with your team and key stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of Artsy’s users, transactional experience, and business priorities.
Develop a clear point of view on how to optimize the purchasing, fulfillment and post purchasing funnel
Identify and prioritize key opportunities to improve retention, satisfaction, and repeat transactions, grounded in data and user insights.
First 6 months:
Launch initiatives that drive measurable improvements in conversion, fulfillment efficiency, and post-purchase engagement.
Define and align the team around a clear 12–18 month roadmap, rooted in evidence-based insights.
Establish a collaborative, empowered team culture that enables rapid learning and iteration.
We know no one is a perfect match on paper, so if you’re passionate about this role, please apply! We’re excited to learn how your skills, experiences, and insights could make a difference.
Please Note: We can only accept applications from those eligible to live and work in the United States. This is a hybrid role with office attendance required 2-3 days/week.
What We Offer:
Opportunity to reimagine the art industry while working with a talented, diverse, international team.
Competitive salary and equity
Flexible time off: our culture of trust and empowerment allows employees to take the time they need away from work while still excelling in their roles
We are a global hybrid team: most employees work from our NYC, London, or Berlin offices 2-3 days per week. (In-person expectations vary by role)
