Your Role as a Project Engineer:
As a Project Engineer with Schultz Construction, you won't just be filling a role—you'll be making a difference. From day one, you'll be integral to our team, supporting Project Managers and Estimators from the initial bid all the way to project completion. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Drive Success from Start to Finish: Play a key role in the bidding and preconstruction stages, scoping work with subcontractors, developing takeoffs and bids, and participating in the estimating process.
- Be the Communication Hub: Ensure seamless coordination among all project stakeholders—owners, contractors, subcontractors, and more—by managing data, communications, approvals, and information exchange.
- Master Document & Project Control: Implement and maintain document and project control systems, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
- Keep Projects on Track: Attend project meetings, document milestones, and keep everyone informed with up-to-date progress and status reports.
- Champion Safety & Compliance: Review project plans and specs to ensure all contractor and subcontractor requirements are met, with a focus on safety, performance, staffing, and equipment.
