Senior Product Manager - Fintech

In order to enable millions of users to explore, interact with, and participate in live events worldwide, StubHub is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to manage the development of next-generation technologies and innovative, impactful features. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to be embedded within our Tax team. In this role you will work closely with the team lead and cross functional product counterparts to build the strategy for this nascent team , and analyze and optimize the team's efficiency.
Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY
About the FinTechTeam:
StubHub’s FinTech Team owns the financial source of truth that powers our accounting and reporting infrastructure. This system translates high-volume transactional data into accurate, auditable journal entries, enabling revenue recognition, reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance (including SOX). As the business grows in complexity, the subledger plays a critical role in supporting new product features, unlocking new business models, and enabling scalable growth through a flexible, modular ledger system.
We’re now focused on transforming our subledger into a modern, automated platform that reduces manual work, eliminates error-prone handoffs, and moves us closer to a fully automated, “no-touch” month close. This role will partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and Engineering to define the next generation of our financial infrastructure - combining scalability, accuracy, and automation to keep pace with the demands of a global, rapidly evolving business.
What You'll Do:
- Define the product roadmap and prioritization for Tax Team in the context of our broader organizational strategies and goals
- Drive the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products, features, and/or tools, with accountability for all stages of the product development lifecycle
- Rapidly learn about the intricacies of cross-border, multi-currency, flexible e-commerce marketplace to understand the complexity and variety of the user flows
- Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and analysts to deliver against an ambitious roadmap that balances short-term optimization with long-term strategic investments
- Develop and monitors success metrics for Tax Team and instill the insight-led & analytical approach in teams within their domain
- Formulate clear, data-driven business cases, write feature specifications, manage project execution and sequencing – be able to communicate clearly and defend reasoning to stakeholders
- Build the right products and solutions to enable fast, risk-free growth while remaining compliant and minimizing impact on the bottom line
- Understand and foster the culture of balance between reducing risk and moving fast
- Define and analyze metrics to inform the success of a product and develop action plans accordingly
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
- Adopt experimental methodology, mindset and rigor to achieve objectives
What You've Done:
- 5+ years of product management or close equivalent, with experience in finance technology, in-house ledger systems, or accounting
- Ability to manage projects across multiple business organizations and with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to influence outside your area of direct control and negotiate to an optimal solution.
- Ability to break down complex systems and processes so they can be easily understood, and communicate this to other people within the organization.
- Ability to analyze data to evaluate the behavior and performance of the platform using tooling such as SQL, Snowflake and/or Tableau.
- Methodical and patient, able to sequence change to ensure minimal risk
- Demonstrated ability of strong leadership, organizational and execution skills in a fast-paced environment

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
Salary Range
$175,000 - $270,000 USD
