Our client is a law firm. They seek a temp to perm Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Close the company books as well as personal books for the owners
• Ensure investment distributions are received and follow up as necessary
• Verify all transactions are documented and discrepancies are addressed
• Produce monthly reporting packages to track performance vs budget
• Pay expenses monthly and execute payroll in partnership with PEO
• Work with the billing team to ensure proper invoices and cash application
• Manage treasury accounts and execute quarterly tax payments
• Prepare tax returns and maintain and manage the firm's insurance
• Digitally manage our Finance processes, including implementing Bill.com

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience utilizing systems to improve the finance process
• Experience in defining and improving processes
• Able to maintain highly confidential information
• Organized with keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Skilled in Excel and QuickBooks
