Position Title Lab Technician

Division Empire State Mines 408 Sylvia Lake, Gouverneur, New York 13642 Department Mill Reports To Mill Manager Work Arrangement On-site (mine site), 3pm-11pm, M-F Salary $22-$26 per hour depending on experience plus overtime pay and benefits Empire State Mines is currently seeking an individual to fill the role of Lab Technician at its mine operation. Located within 2-hour drive of The Thousand Islands, Lake Ontario shoreline, the Adirondack Mountains and world class skiing at Lake Placid. Explore Canada with Montreal and Ottawa only 2-3 hours away. Purpose and Scope Titan Mining Corporation is a Canadian-based mining company which owns the Empire State Mines, a group of 100%-owned high-grade zinc mines located in a historic mining district in St. Lawrence County, New York. The company is focused on near-mine and district exploration as well as development of its Kilbourne Graphite Project. Duties and Responsibilities

Collect, prepare, and analyze samples; Accurately document testing results in logs, reports, and computer programs including Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Excel; Use, calibrate, clean, and troubleshoot lab equipment; Monitor quality during production and assist mill operators in adjustments for improvements; Provide metallurgical results in a timely manner for hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly reports; Work closely with and support the production and environmental teams; Other duties as assigned.

Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge

Proficiency in computer use of Microsoft Excel and Word and computer data systems; Strong attention to detail for precise, consistent results; English speaking and able to comprehend in English written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner; Must be able to perform the work without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others due to the safety sensitivity of tasks; Work independently; Ability to work in the US.
