Are you mechanically inclined and ready to learn a trade? We’re hiring motivated individuals to join our team as Garage Door Technician Apprentices. No prior experience is needed. If you’re dependable and hands-on, we’ll train you.

What Training Looks Like

Most of your training will happen on the job, working side-by-side with experienced technicians. As a helper/apprentice, you’ll gain practical experience right in the field. We also provide some classroom instruction, including expert-led sessions from David Mount at Mount On Site Training in Maryland, to round out your understanding of the trade.

What You'll Do

Assist in installing and servicing garage doors and openers

Learn mechanical skills and product knowledge

Maintain safe, clean job sites

Help with materials, inventory, and basic paperwork

Communicate with customers and team members

What You Need

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to lift 75 lbs and work on your feet

Mechanical aptitude or background in trades is a plus

Valid NY driver’s license with a clean record

Able to pass a standard drug test (excluding cannabis)

Able to pass a DOT physical (non-CDL)

Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
