Regional Hotel Manager

Summary
The Regional Hotel Manager is responsible for managing assigned hotels to ensure efficient and profitable operations, in alignment with organizational goals. This role oversees the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of multiple hotel locations, ensuring consistent performance and quality across all properties. The Regional Hotel Manager performs supervisory responsibilities over hotel managers, including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing team members; planning and directing work; and handling performance management. The role also involves resolving guest and staff issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct, train and mentor team members and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures.
- Ensure all Owner and Brand directed initiatives, perspectives and programs are implemented, followed and supported.
- Monitor customer service by speaking with guests, reviewing written guest satisfaction surveys and observing team members.
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with all guests, vendors and other external partners.
- Represent company at various community organization meetings to promote hotels.
- Assist with the development of sales strategies and action plans.
- Conduct regular physical inspections to ensure all standards of excellence are being met and ensure that all inspections and reviews are as successful as possible.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks including maintaining an accurate inventory of supplies, processing hotel payroll and handling any accounting and purchasing functions.
- Understand, support and administer all state and local laws/codes in which the hotel is located that govern inn keeping and associate relations.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor assigned properties to ensure financial, budgetary, guest and team member satisfaction goals are being achieved.
- Assist the VP of Hotel Operations with the promotion, consistency and stability of new and existing hotel properties.
- Facilitate and maintain on-going communication and collaboration with all team members.
- Maintain up to date records and files.
Three to five years related experience and/or training; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
The team member must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The physical efforts required to perform the essential functions of this job may be done with or without accommodation.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is occasionally exposed to odors; chemicals; dust; and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The team member works in an environment that is open to the general public.
