Job Title: Dietitian

Location: Syracuse, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Weekend Coverage Required)

Pay Rate: $45–$57/hr

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Inpatient Dietitian to provide comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy across all patient populations, including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The Dietitian will conduct nutritional assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed nutrition assessments and document findings in the electronic medical record.

• Assess patient nutritional status using validated tools (e.g., Malnutrition Screening Tool).

• Diagnose malnutrition, establish intervention strategies, and monitor progress to improve outcomes and reduce length of stay.

• Use practitioner-driven protocols to implement or adjust nutrition-related orders such as diet changes, supplements, labs, and patient education.

• Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support, including formula selection, rate adjustments, hydration, vitamins, and medication modifications based on clinical indicators.

• Participate in facility-wide and departmental QAPI (Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement) initiatives.

• Attend team meetings, staff development sessions, patient rounds, and relevant professional education programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Inpatient or Critical Care experience

• CNSC (Certified Nutrition Support Clinician) certification preferred
