About the Opportunity:

HUSO, the one Michelin-starred concept by Marky’s Caviar and two-time Top Chef winner Buddha Lo, located in the heart of Tribeca, is seeking a skilled Line Cook/Chef de Partie to join our Back of House team.

This role is designed for culinary professionals who understand that excellence in fine dining is built on discipline, consistency, and attention to detail. Every component on the plate must reflect precision, intention, and respect for ingredients. Ideal candidates are committed to executing at a Michelin-level standard while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork, urgency, and professionalism in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Position Summary:

The Chef de Partie is responsible for owning and executing a their station with precision and consistency. This role requires a deep understanding of technique, organization, and timing, as well as the ability to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and execution under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and executing a designated station during service
• Preparing, cooking, and plating dishes to the set restaurant standards
• Maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation across all services
• Assisting in training and mentoring Commis or junior cooks
• Ensuring proper mise en place, organization, and station readiness
• Following all recipes, systems, and directives from the Chef and Sous Chef
• Maintaining strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Supporting team members across stations as needed to ensure smooth service

Schedule:
Wednesday through Sunday

• Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in a fine-dining or Michelin-level environment
• Culinary degree or formal training preferred, but not required
• Strong foundation in classical cooking techniques
• Advanced knife skills and precision in food preparation
• Experience with sautéing, grilling, and sauce work
• Strong understanding of mise en place and kitchen organization
• Exceptional attention to detail in plating and execution
• Ability to work cleanly, efficiently, and under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable walking long distances and navigating stairs throughout service

Additional Information:

We are closed on most major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
