Billing Specialist - Municipal Billing & Certified Payroll

Location: Westbury, NY | On-Site

We're seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support municipal billing operations in a dynamic, family-run business environment. This role offers flexibility, starting part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate.

About the Role

As a Billing Specialist, you'll handle all aspects of municipal billing, certified payroll reporting, and invoice processing. You'll work closely with a small, supportive team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely submissions for projects involving towns, villages, and school districts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and manage invoices for municipal clients.

• Handle data entry and billing documentation with precision.

• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

• Support municipal billing operations and maintain organized records.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• 2+ years of billing experience.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and service-based software.

• Experience working with government or municipal clients.

• Understanding of certified payroll reporting.

• Background in skilled trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Construction) preferred.
