Heavy Equipment Operator

Acara Solutions is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Job Type: Full-time (40 to 60-hour work week typical)

Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Construction Experience: 2 years minimum required.

Heavy Equipment Operators for Environmental Remediation and Heavy Industrial Demolition work. Must have experience to safely operate heavy equipment. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA 40 - HAZWOPER or other pertinent training is a plus.

1. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, front end loaders, skidsteers, rollers, articulated dump trucks.
2. Ability and knowledge to use basic construction tools, electric pumps, large fuel powered pumps, plate compactors, trenchers, truck scales, etc.
3. GPS experience a plus.
4. Must be able to understand and comply with company and client safety standards.
5. Ability to perform work under sustained hours, uncomfortable weather conditions and rough terrain.
6. Must be willing to be clean shaven and prepared to use a respirator when required.
7. Other duties as assigned.
8. Must have a valid drivers license
9. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and complete 40 HR OSHA HAZWOPER Training
10. Must be able to read and write in English.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Construction Laborer

Safety conscious, ambitious construction laborers for Environmental Remediation and Heavy Industrial Demolition work. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA 40 - HAZWOPER or other pertinent training is a plus.

1. Must be physically capable of performing numerous duties such as lifting, carrying, shoveling and spending full shift on their feet.
2. SItework/utility installation experience preferred.
3. Ability and knowledge to use basic construction tools, electric pumps, large fuel powered pumps, plate compactors, trenchers, truck scales, etc.
4. Must be willing to be clean shaven and prepared to use a respirator when required.
5. Other duties as assigned.
6. Must have a valid drivers license
7. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical and complete 40 HR OSHA HAZWOPER Training
8. Must be able to read and write in English.
9. Experience operating a skidsteer, loader, roller, articulated dump truck is a plus.
