For decades, pavement marking operations have been slow, manual, and unchanged. Skip-Line is rewriting that playbook with advanced technology, real-time data, and real-world results — on highways, roads, and airfields around the world. If you want to completely change how work gets done and be known for it, keep reading.
Location: Remote (must be located in the west coast region of the U.S.).
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 (based on experience), plus strong commission opportunities.
Why Join Us?
Skip-Line is the premier technology leader in the pavement marking industry. Our innovative systems keep highways, roads, and airfields around the world smartly and safely marked — empowering contractors with precision control technology, real-time data, and unmatched reliability. When you join Skip-Line, you become part of a collaborative, passionate and innovative team transforming how roads are striped around the world.
Who You Are:
You’re experienced in B2B sales with the desire to own and grow a new territory by getting Skip-Line technology into the hands of the contractors and agencies who stripe America’s roads. You excel at building strong customer relationships at all levels, from the paint truck operators and superintendents, to the owners and “decision makers”, easily translating technical products into plain language. You thrive remotely, but you’re not “remote only” — you love being on the road and in front of customers. If this sounds like you, then Skip-Line is the road for you.
What You Will Do:
In this role, you’ll open doors that haven’t been opened before, run live demos in the field, and turn skeptics into believers — and believers into long-term partners.
- Build the territory from the ground up: Identify, pursue, and close new contractor and agency relationships across the Western U.S.
- Get in front of customers: Be on jobsites, paint trucks, and in customer facilities — running demos where the work happens.
- Turn technology into plain English: Sell confidently to owners, superintendents, and operators by translating advanced tech into real productivity, margin, and safety gains.
- Create momentum: Build pipeline, close deals, expand fleets, and help customers standardize on Skip-Line equipment.
- CRM management: Keep notes, next steps, deal stages, and customer conversations updated in Hubspot to maintain documentation and actionable steps.
- Shape the future of the product: Bring customer feedback from the field back to product, engineering, and leadership teams for new product development.
- Represent the brand: Participate at industry events, trade shows, and regional touchpoints that strengthen our presence.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience (industrial, construction, fleet, or tech preferred).
- Strong communication skills — you can sell to both “the owner” and “the operator.”
- Proven ability to open new markets and close deals.
- A track record of being accountable: you set targets, execute weekly, and deliver results.
- Experience with CRM programs (Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar).
- Must be located in the western region of the United States.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel regularly.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Why Join Skip-Line?
- Competitive Benefits — Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and sick time, a paid week off at Christmas & more.
- Strong Compensation — Strong base salary with a meaningful commission.
- You’re not pushing a commodity — you’re leading a shift with innovative technology.
- You’ll have real influence on growth, product direction, and market adoption.
- You’ll work with a team that values execution, ownership, and ideas from the field.
- You’ll be able to point to roads, runways, and highways and say: “I helped change how that was done.”
