Shifts: Weekend Blocked, Day/Night rotational position


Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated SMH Level 1 RN in the field of Psychiatric Emergency Room (Psych ER) to provide top-notch care and support within a rotational weekend block shift in New York. This travel assignment offers a dynamic work environment where registered nurses can make a significant impact on patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych ER

• Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history
• Plan and provide nursing care for patients
• Diagnose the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options
• Consult with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff in designing treatment plans
• Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
• Arrange further medical attention when necessary
• Assist clients in understanding emotional disturbances and accepting treatment
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
• Test for vital signs of pain and ensure pain treatments
• Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician orders
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate patient records
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and completing progress notes
• Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and the public

Requirements of the SMH Level 1 RN Psych ER

• NY License ONLY
• BLS Certification (AHA) ONLY
• Telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience
