About Us

Wirecutter is seeking an inventive and motivated intern to join our editorial team for the summer. In this role, you will learn the ins and outs of our thriving editorial organization and collaborate with different facets of our audience team to understand and participate in our process.

As an Intern for Wirecutter newsletters, you'll work with the Audience Development Team to share Wirecutter's product reviews and expert advice on various platforms, including social and newsletters. Your work may include drafting, editing, and producing newsletters; QAing, pitching ideas for our newsletters, social channels or other off-platform audiences; helping to coordinate copy deadlines and workflows between writers, editors, and audience team members.

Interested candidates should provide links to bylines, published pieces, or examples of writing for newsletters, alongside a résumé and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience. About Our Summer Internships:

  • The duration is 10 weeks long, starting on June 1, 2026.

  • The rate of pay for this role is $20.00 per hour.

  • Interns work 40 hours per week.

  • You will be helping to power, distribute and expand what is possible for our award-winning journalism

  • We have frequent panel discussions and talks by a wide variety of newsmakers and industry leaders

Basic Qualifications

  • Undergraduate, Graduate, or Recent Graduate students

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong editorial judgment and experience writing or producing content on deadline.

  • Thoughtful journalism skills and experience writing for a news organization, such as a college newspaper, television station, or magazine.

  • Experience with email service providers (MailChimp, Stensul, etc.) and or social channels is highly valued.

  • Highly motivated, and able to work independently and with minimal direction.

  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to managers and colleagues.

  • A collaborative and creative attitude

The hourly rate of base pay for this role is:
