At Industry Management Systems LLC, we specialize in helping the collection industry clients stay compliant across all states and municipalities. Our team manages state licensing, renewals, compliance audits, and regulatory filings for collection agencies, and debt buyers. We’re growing quickly and are looking for a Licensing Specialist to join our dynamic and collaborative compliance team.
Position Overview:
The Licensing Specialist will be responsible for managing state license applications, renewals, and compliance filings for our collection agency and debt buyer clients. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex regulatory requirements and maintain accurate, organized records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track state license applications, renewals, and amendments for collection agencies and debt buyers.
- Review state-specific requirements and ensure all filings comply with applicable regulations.
- Communicate directly with state regulatory agencies to resolve application or renewal issues.
- Maintain detailed client and license records in internal systems.
- Coordinate with clients to gather required documentation and respond to compliance inquiries.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal processes as needed.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and policy maintenance as required.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- 2+ years of experience in administrative, licensing, compliance, or regulatory operations (preferably within financial services, and/or collection agencies).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and client accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Preferred:
- Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRPC) certification preferred.
- Experience with NMLS (Nationwide Multistate Licensing System).
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements for collection agencies, debt buyers, or similar regulated entities.
- Prior experience in a compliance, paralegal, or regulatory support role.
