We’re seeking a warm, engaging creative companion to spend time with our female client, who values art, conversation, and connection. This role is ideal for someone with an artistic or creative background who enjoys meaningful one-on-one interactions and bringing positive energy to each day.

Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday — 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: Greenwich Village, NYC

What You’ll Do:

• Spend quality time engaging in conversation, light activities, and creative hobbies
• Accompany client on neighborhood walks, coffee outings, or casual errands
• Offer companionship and support in maintaining a lively, social routine

About You:

• Naturally creative, thoughtful, and personable
• Enjoys arts, culture, and authentic connection
• Dependable and comfortable working independently
• Available Wednesday–Friday, 10 AM–4 PM

This is a part-time, non-medical companion position — perfect for someone with a flexible schedule who loves connecting with others in a relaxed, enriching environment.

Responsibilities:

• Providing proactive, creative companionship to older adults and people with chronic health conditions in their homes (e.g., discussing current events, creating artwork, reviewing photo albums).
• Planning activities outside the home and accompanying clients to keep them engaged with the world and their favorite pastimes (e.g., trips to museums, concerts, plays, or the park).
• Escorting clients to doctors’ appointments.
• Running errands for clients (e.g., grocery shopping, sundries).
• Reminding clients to take their medications.
• Doing light exercise with clients (e.g., helping with stretching routines or prescribed physical therapy ).
• Assisting clients in preparing meals.
• Performing light housekeeping, such as dusting, tidying, and laundry.

Qualifications: We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds including the creative arts and healthcare fields. Our employment is selective. Strong candidates possess:

• A passion for caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Prior experience working with this population is valued, but not required.
• An accredited high school diploma, though we prefer candidates with college and advanced degrees
• Deep empathy and patience.
• Availability: Open
• Flexibility, reliability, and responsiveness.
• Creativity and a positive, open-hearted approach.
• Strong composure under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and their families.
