Cashier
As a Cashier at VERDE NYC , you play a key operational role in ensuring smooth and accurate financial transactions during service. Working in a high-energy festive restaurant environment, you are responsible for managing all payment processes with efficiency, precision, and professionalism. Responsibilities:
Process all customer payments accurately (cash, credit/debit cards, contactless payments, vouchers)
Handle high transaction volumes during peak service hours
Ensure correct billing and resolve payment discrepancies when necessary
Manage the cash register, including opening and closing procedures
Perform daily cash reconciliation and report any inconsistencies
Coordinate with the floor and management teams regarding orders and payment status
Maintain an organized and secure cashier station at all times
Follow internal financial procedures and company policies
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and operational standards
Previous experience as a Cashier, preferably in a restaurant, hospitality, or nightlife environment
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Professional attitude and strong sense of responsibility
Good communication skills and teamwork mindset
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Basic knowledge of POS systems
