Project Planning Manager

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in West Henrietta, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Define work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, durations, dependencies, and milestones.
• Integrate schedules across multiple disciplines and suppliers.
• Track project progress against baseline schedules.
• Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Identify schedule-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assess the impact of changes on project timelines and advice on schedule adjustments.
• Facilitate weekly planning meetings and workshops.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Provide planning documentation, including baseline schedules, updates, and reports.
• Maintain version control and audit trail of schedule changes.
• Prepare and evaluate claims related to delays and disruptions.
• Assess entitlement for extension of time based on contract terms and project records.
• Support dispute resolution and negotiation processes.
• Initial baseline schedule
• Monthly progress reports (Internal/Customer)
• Updated schedules reflecting changes
• Final project schedule and close-out report

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in planning software (Primavera).
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good analytical and communication skills.
