About the Role:


As an Software Engineer II (Backend) , you'll build 0-to-1 features for our AI-powered chatbot, creating step-by-step experiences that help customers resolve issues directly in chat using OpenAI and Claude . You'll own a key part of the customer journey; handling orders, ticket substitutions, and refunds, impacting millions of users worldwide .


Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) - New York, NY

What You've Done

• 2 - 4 years of software development experience across languages such as Java, Python, Go, or C#
• AI experience with interest in building AI-enabled interfaces and workflows; exposure to tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or other LLM-based systems.
• Product-oriented mindset with a passion for building intuitive, high-quality user experiences that balance technical correctness.
• Obsessed with eliminating waste , boosting operational efficiency, and building tools that empower users to do more, faster, and smarter.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub's total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
