• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1670 - $1720
• Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 30 beds, average daily census of 28
• Scrub Color: Navy

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (all required)
• Experience with Epic EMR charting system preferred
• Ability to float to similar critical care units
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

MICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a MICU setting
• Coordinate nursing care for patients based on clinical practice standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Collect and analyze patient health data to determine care needs
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for critically ill adults and geriatrics
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and deliver advanced critical care interventions
• Assist with procedures including arterial line management, chest tube insertion/removal, and central line care
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain patient confidentiality
• Educate patients and families on illness, injury prevention, and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with nursing regulations
