Future Lights Children's Center Inc, currently Hiring the following who meets article 47 requirements.
1. NYS retired certified teacher (2 positions)
or
2. NYS certified teacher (2 positions)
or
3. Study plan teacher (2 positions)
and
4. Level 1 teacher's assistants or TA with 18 College Credits ( two positions)

Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in accordance with educational standards and best practices.
- Develop creative lesson plans that incorporate hands-on activities, play-based learning, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by employing positive reinforcement techniques and establishing clear expectations to foster a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Support children’s emotional well-being through attentive supervision, active listening, and responsive caregiving tailored to individual developmental stages.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and identify areas for additional support or intervention.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists—such as special education professionals—to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure inclusive classroom practices.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, Montessori methods, early intervention strategies, and other relevant educational approaches.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, behavior incidents, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies.
- Facilitate extracurricular activities such as physical education or tutoring sessions that enhance overall child welfare and holistic development.
- Uphold health and safety standards within the classroom or daycare setting by following proper childcare protocols and sanitation procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors/Masters/TA level 1/Study plan with educational college credits that meets NYS teaching requirements or teaching certification B-Grade 2 or Childhood 1-Grade 6
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Strong background in early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and special education needs such as early intervention strategies.
- Experience with classroom experience in daycare centers or private schools is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children’s families.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing results for assessment purposes.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized teaching approaches is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all learners.
- Certification or licensing in early childhood education or related fields preferred but not mandatory; relevant coursework or training will be considered.
