Technical Coordinator

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
• Coordinate technical and design-related activities between the project team, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, design submissions, technical reports, and other project documentation for completeness, coordination, and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare, issue, track, and coordinate Requests for Information, technical queries, design clarifications, and related correspondence.
• Maintain technical logs and trackers, including RFIs, submittals, design changes, shop drawings, site instructions, technical decisions, and outstanding action items.
• Coordinate the review and approval of shop drawings, samples, product data, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Identify design conflicts, discrepancies, constructability concerns, and interface issues and coordinate their resolution with the appropriate project stakeholders.
• Support multidisciplinary design coordination across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, rail, and systems-related scopes.
• Participate in design coordination, technical, constructability, and interface meetings and prepare meeting minutes and action lists.
• Monitor technical deliverables and design submission schedules to ensure reviews, approvals, and responses are completed within required timelines.
• Coordinate design revisions and ensure updated drawings, specifications, and technical information are distributed to the appropriate project teams.
• Work closely with field staff to respond to technical questions and confirm that construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and field reviews to verify existing conditions, confirm constructability, and support the resolution of technical issues.
Education and Experience:• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical coordination, design coordination, construction coordination, engineering, or a related project role.
• Experience working on major infrastructure, civil, transportation, rail, transit, institutional, or complex construction projects is preferred.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design and construction interfaces is considered a strong asset.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, shop drawings, technical reports, and construction documentation.
• Experience preparing and managing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, design changes, and technical correspondence.
• General knowledge of construction methods, design processes, sequencing, and constructability.
Salary Range:Between $75,000 - $100,000, depending on experience
