Job Summary
The Warehouse worker is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, picking, and transporting materials required for manufacturing operations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, safe material handling, and timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. The Storekeeper operates warehouse equipment including forklifts, sideloaders, and stackers while maintaining compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Job Description
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations following inventory management procedures.
- Pick, stage, and issue materials, components, and finished goods according to production and customer requirements.
- Operate forklifts, sideloaders, stackers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Transport materials between warehouse, production, and shipping areas.
- Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems
- Monitor stock levels and report inventory discrepancies or shortages.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment following 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Assist with packaging, shipping, and receiving activities as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and logistics operations.
Skills Required
- Previous experience in a warehouse, storekeeping, logistics, or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, sideloaders, stackers, and other material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, material requests, and inventory records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Education
- Requi red: High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional requirements
- Sh ift: 1st shift: 5 x 10hr/day
Pay rate
- $18 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
