Adult care registered nurse

Job Title: RN – Adult Care (Home Health)

Location: New York, NY (Queens Borough, ZIP 10004)

Duration: 3 Months (Contract)

Hours: 40 hours per week | 8 hours per day | 5 days per week | Must be available every other weekend

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Care to join our team on a 3-month contract. This role is based in the Queens Borough and focuses on providing high-quality home health services to adult patients. The RN will manage 4–8 cases per day, delivering patient-centered care and supporting recovery, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home nursing care to adult patients in accordance with care plans.

• Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer prescribed treatments.

• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and home care techniques.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.

• Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate, timely records.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of previous acute care experience in MedSurg, Maternal & Child Care, Critical Care, or Pediatrics .

• Current Adult Care home health experience required.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to manage multiple home visits per day (4–8 cases).

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Education

• Required: Associate’s Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State RN License .

• Primary Source Verification of license and registration with the NYS Department of Education (NYSED).

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
