Title: Senior Project Engineer, Audio Visual Systems - NY
Position Overview:
Our New York office is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Systems Designer. Your title will be Senior Project Engineer within the company. With guidance and mentorship from senior engineers you will develop project management skills. It is a hands-on role that offers an opportunity to be a part of a growing, industry leading team: successful candidates will be self-motivated and proactive. This role is a career development position; you will conduct work assignments of increasing complexity and contribute to team objectives and outcomes.

Role Responsibilities:

Ability to develop audiovisual design requirements by meeting with, and discussing clients' requirements, and working with internal design team

Design and coordination with architectural and engineering disciplines of audio/video systems for, but not limited to, boardrooms, collaboration rooms, huddle spaces, town hall venues, conference, and multipurpose rooms

Development of 2D and 3D drawings for architectural layouts of AV equipment, and system schematic diagrams

Organize and lead coordination meeting and taking detailed meeting minutes
Requirements
Education: Bachelors in Engineering or related discipline. CTS certification a plus
Experience:
-
Minimum 4 years of experience with AV designing, planning and project management skills
-
Expertise with video and audio-conferencing systems
-
Working knowledge of key audio, video, and audiovisual products from major manufacturers including Crestron, Extron, BiAmp, QSC, Shure, Poly, Cisco, and others
-
Expertise with Crestron, and other control system design regarding control logic development and touch panel design and layouts
-
Working knowledge of computer networks as they pertain to both IP-based audio and video signal transport and UC (Unified Communication) - based video/audio conferencing
-
Expertise with sound systems, including microphone, and speaker requirements, and their placement, and integration in acoustic environments

Management of resources in the development of RFPs

Advanced AutoCAD and Revit knowledge required

AVIXA CTS / CTS-D a plus
-
Manufacturer-sponsored certifications would be an advantage

Familiarity with, and ability to use rendering software/Photoshop to create presentations would be a significant advantage

Basic knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project expected
