As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Sweep in Hollis, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening support, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activities according to site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and report suspicious behavior, trespassing, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional presence at a government transportation location by communicating clearly with the public, following post orders, and coordinating with supervisors and/or public officials during routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
